    Teachers Inspiring Problem Solvers is willing and able to meet YOUR needs.

The menu of choices that will be adapted to best fit your  specific district or school include:

  • what do the National standards mean to us?
  • scoring mathematics problem solving
  • effectively using student work
  • creating instructional based assessments for intervention
  • one time Introductory Workshop (full or half day) on using problem solving as a focus for mathematics instruction
  • ongoing professional development over a school year and summer (approximately 9 monthly sessions in addition to one parent night)
  • professional development sessions with administrators
  • helping with the transition from teaching for coverage to teaching for the depth described in Washington's and Oregon's newly revised mathematics standards - and aligned to NCTM's Curriculum Focal Points
  • professional development for preservice teachers
  • helping teachers select and write and evaluate their own quality problem solving tasks
  • helping strengthen instructional practices by including formative assessment
